11. Beyond Simple Geometry: Low Relief and CAD CAM
Stamping your Corporate Identity with Quality and Design.
Logos and Pictures on Metal - Corporate Gifts and more...If you are into Corporate Giftware then this is the process that meets all wish lists! You can create almost any logo in 3D and even if colour is critical you can use enamel or resin as well. We have developed some very interesting enamel techniques to work with Low Relief Surfaces.
Corporate identity can easily be added to your gift products using our system.
The design incorporates elements of the Goldsmith's Company's Coat of Arms, including the demi-virgin and the leopard's head (which appears on all London assayed hallmarked goods) on the body, with the company's motto "Justitia virtutum regina" wrapping on a scroll around the cap with a background of vertical ribs. Anthony Elson chose us to create the Low Relief surface and supplied drawings to us which you see in the background of this image (Published here, Courtesy of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths) which was originally published in the Goldsmith's Review in 2001. We interpreted the drawings as a 3D wireframe using our unique surface generation technology to create the final product. The pen was produced and assembled by a well known specialist high quality pen manufacturer, the low relief engine turning done was in London by us. This illustration clearly shows the possibilities of CAD/CAM Low Relief Engine Turning and how easily a designer can work with us. (We did have about three tries at the leopard head before either we or Anthony were satisfied, but that shows how flexible the process is!)
