Latest News from Pledge & Aldworth Engine Turners
We recently underwent a major reorganisation of our business with changes in ownership from a partnership to a wholly owned status with David Pledge as proprietor. We are now trading from Ashtead, Surrey. Our new workshop combines the machinery from both our old London and Birmingham workshops. And in moving forward we have created a new, improved and larger website.

Price Increases: To take effect in April 2008; The UK RPI is currently running at 4.1% to Feb 08 and our prices will increase at the end of March, by approximately 4.75% in respect of our costs, with some adjustments for errors in previous prices. We review all prices each March, so it's always worth ordering in January, February and early March to take advantage of older prices.

Pattern Reference - 25th June 2007: We are now adding images to the Pattern Reference. Having only recently begun this new phase of building more into The Illustrated Engine Turning Reference™, we have just received a brief for a large order, so this may slow down slightly for about a month until the new CAD CAM production run starts, but we will then continue the additions on a regular basis. This will make it much easier for new customers to see some of the vast range of possibilities of this incredibly versatile design medium!

Web Site Upgrade - 28th Feb 2007: We have, since Christmas 2006, completely rewritten this entire web site and created a completely restructured menu and indexing system so that you can get to any page on the Pledge & Aldworth Engine Turners web site from any other page with no more than two mouse clicks. We are currently still building this major upgrade to our very extensive web site. The forum will be completed as soon as we have finished the new CGI scripts with suitable security and anti-spam code. New links will appear as work progresses. Everything of value from the old web site has already been upgraded and is online here now.

We have a custom written search engine on the site. You can search the entire web site, including The Illustrated Engine Turning Reference, on any useful term. This is a very full featured search engine which we believe will make this educational resource of much greater use to all.
Click here to Search the entire site or select "Contact" then "Search Site" from the drop down menus on any page.
