Travelling by Road
From the South, West or East and North except Central London:
Leave the M25 at Junction 9, Leatherhead and take the A24 towards London and Epsom, straight on at the traffic lights by Downsend School.
Approximately 1 mile from the bridge over the motorway, turn sharp left off the A24 at the gentle S bend before Ashtead Village, down hill into Ottways Lane. No 8 is on the right after about 50 yards with a white scalloped wall and brick drive.
You may notice that Junction 9 is split with two separate roundabouts with a short 1 mile section of dual carriageway connecting them. The A24 to Ashtead and Epsom runs northeast from a third roundabout less than half a mile south-east towards Dorking from the south-east roundabout.
From Central London:
Take the A3 to the Oxshot and Esher junction, then turn south east onto the A244 towards Leatherhead and Dorking. This leads to the M25, Junction 9 but is not signed to it from the A3. Continue straight on at the lights through Oxshot Village, then first exit at the small roundabout after another mile. At the M25 Junction 9 interchange, follow the A24 signs towards Epsom as above. You will enter the illustrated map on the red road, upper left from the west. Continue as above onto the A24 north-east bound.
